Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan (born March 23 1976) is an American actress. Her most prominent roles include Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) and Gone Baby Gone (2008). The actress was also famous for Gone Baby Gone (2008), Made of Honor (2008) and Trucker (2008). Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015) and Patriots Day (2016). She has also received recognition for her performance as Julia Meade in the action spy film series Mission: Impossible, appearing in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011), and Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).On television, Monaghan starred as Maggie Hart in the first season of the anthology crime-drama show True Detective (2014), where she earned an award nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. In the drama The Path, a drama series The Path (2016), she starred in the role as Sarah Lane. Monaghan was the character Eva Geller on the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah. The show was cancelled after only one season. Monaghan was born to Sharon Hammel (a factory worker) in Winthrop. Bob as well as John are her elder brothers. Monaghan is an Catholic of Irish and German heritage and graduated from East Buchanan High School, 1994. She relocated to Chicago after graduating to study journalism at Columbia College Chicago. Then she began modeling. She has also modeled in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore in addition to the United States. After one semester to complete her journalism degree in 1999, she made the move to New York to pursue an acting career. Prior to her acting career, she worked as a model and appeared in numerous magazines and catalogs. Monaghan was recognized for two television roles as an actress in Young Americans' episodes in 2000. Her next appearance on television was on Law & Order: Special Victims Unified , in "Consent" that aired on January 19, 2001. Also, Monaghan made her first big screen appearance in Perfume the following year, playing Henrietta. She was again a support actress in Unfaithful in 2002. It starred Richard Gere, Diane Lane and many others.
