Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23 December 1992. She is an American performer, songwriter, and actress. Her distinctive raspy voice, her music blends elements from a variety of styles and genres, including pop, country pop, hip hop, experimental and rock. With 13 songs, Cyrus holds the record for the most US Billboard 200 top five albums of the 21st century from an artist of female gender. Her private life, public appearance, and performances frequently sparked controversy and garnered a lot of media coverage. Cyrus was the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus and became a teen idol as she played the title role in the Disney Channel television show Hannah Montana (2006)-2011. In her role as Hannah Montana, she attained three top-five songs in the US Billboard 200, including the US Billboard Hot 100 top-ten single "He Could Be the One". Cyrus's discography includes the US top-ranked albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008) and Bangerz (2012) The top five album releases, Can't be Tamed (2017), Younger Now (2017) and Plastic Hearts (2020); as well as Miley Cyrus & His Dead Petz (2015). Cyrus's EPs The Time of Our Lives (2009) and She Is Coming (2019) also appeared within the top five. Plastic Hearts was Cyrus's most loved album and debuted on the top of the Billboard Rock Chart. The album also included the song that was the lead single "Midnight Sky". She also released singles , including "See You Again", 7 Things", "The Climb", Party in the U.S.A." and "Party in The U.S.A.". The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified "Party in America" as a Diamond. Cyrus's achievements include placement in the Time 100 in 2008 and 2014, MTV’s Best Artist of 2013 Award and inclusion on Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists List for the year the year 2019. She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus is an actress and has been featured in Bolt (2008) as well as the feature films Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009 and 2010). Cyrus has been a coach on The Voice, a singing contest, over two seasons. She also starred as Ashley Too on "Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too" on Netflix's Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is a vocal advocate for animal rights. She also adopted a vegan lifestyle in 2014, and she established the non-profit Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014, which focuses on the issue of youth homelessness as well as the LGBT community.
