Riley Keough


American actress Danielle Riley Keough. Born in Santa Monica, California, to musicians Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough, she is a grandchild of the actress Priscilla Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised mostly by her father in Hawaii and Los Angeles, and additionally spent time residing with her mother in California and Tennessee. At the age 15 she began modelling. She was featured in Dolce &Gabbana's fashion shows as well as Christian Dior's and on Vogue's cover. Keough's feature film debut was at 20 years old as she was cast in a minor role as Marie Currie in The Runaways (2010). In the following years, she was a part of the thriller independent film The Good Doctor (2011) and the horror film Jack & Diane (2012) after which she was given a small role in Steven Soderbergh's comedy film Magic Mike (2012). Keough appeared in several additional independent films in 2012 which included Yellow and Kiss of the Damned, before making an appearance in the high-budget action film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) which was the fourth installment in the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology series The Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009 film of the same name. The show received a lot of praise from critics for her character, and received an Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Keough's performance of a depressed young girl in American Honey (2017) garnered accolades, and earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Keough was the main character in the apocalyptic horror flick It Comes at Night (2017). Keough then reunited Soderbergh for a role in Logan Lucky, a heist movie. In the year 2018, she starred in a number of horror and thriller movies, including Lars von Trier's The House That Jack Built The House That Jack Built, the Neo-Noir Under the Silver Lake and Hold the Dark. In 2019, Keough starred as the leading character in the psychological horror film The Lodge, followed by another leading role in comedy-drama Zola (2020). Keough portrays the role of Sandy Harrison in Netflix's 2020 release of The Devil All the Time.
