Zachary Galifianakis

Zachary Knight Galifianakis Greek pronunciation born October 1 1969) is an American comedian, actor as well as a musician and writer. He was a performer, comedian, and presenter of Late World with Zach (VH1) Galifianakis has starred in films including The Hangover trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010), The Campaign (2012), Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) and Masterminds (2016). Galifianakis has voiced characters for animated films such as Puss In Boots (2011) and The Lego Batman Movie (2017). He also voiced Missing Link (2019) and Ron's Gone wrong (2211). Galifianakis hosts the Funny or Die website chat show Between Two Ferns. Galifianakis has appeared in the FX series Baskets. He was nominated in 2017 for the Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy Series. Zachary Knight Galifianakis was a native of Wilkesboro, North Carolina on October 1, 1969. His mother is English and Scottish-Irish. his paternal grandparents originate from Crete. He was baptized according to the Greek Orthodox faith of his father. He has a younger sister, Merritt, as well as an elder brother, Greg. The cousin of his Nick Galifianakis (Washington Post cartoonist) is his uncle. Galifianakis was educated at Wilkes Central High School and then attended North Carolina State University where the school of communications was where he studied. Galifianakis worked for a public radio station during his time at college. In 1991, he was a teacher in the class of waltz and got to know Mary J. Blige. After his television debut Boston Common, Galifianakis joined Saturday Night Live for two weeks. Galifianakis said he was a part-time employee for Saturday Night Live for two week and Britney Spears was the host during one of those weeks. I wrote a sketch. Will Ferrell was to be her bodyguard in her belly button. We planned to shrink Will to appear to be a belly button. When I explained the idea to her, she stared at my sketch. Then she'll say "Oh that's funny.'" Galifianakis was co-starring in the movie Out Cold, and had small roles in Corky Romano, Below, Bubble Boy, Heartbreakers, Into the Wild, Super High Me, Little Fish Strange Pond and Largo.
