Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki was created in Miami, Florida on the 30th November 1977. American electro-house musician and record producer. D.J. Music executive. He is the third child of Chizuru and Rocky Aoki's children. His father was a former wrestler who also helped develop the chain of restaurants Benihana. He has two older brothers, Kana (sometimes known as Grace) and Kevin (owner Doraku Sushi restaurant). Half-sister Devon Aoki is a model and actress. He grew up in Newport Beach and graduated from Newport Harbor High School with an 1995 B.A. in badminton. He went to UC Santa Barbara and graduated with a 2nd B.A. He also earned two bachelor's degrees: one in feminist studies, and the one in Sociology. He also made records for DIY and held underground performances in his Biko room in the Santa Barbara Student Housing Cooperative during his time at college. As a concert venue, the apartment became known as The Pickle Patch. He was also active in student activism at UCSB. He created an organization called the Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League Chapter on campus. He had already started his own record label during the 20s. It was called Dim Mak named after his idol from childhood Bruce Lee. The band released I'm In the House in March 2010 in collaboration with Zuper Blahq The alter-ego of will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas. It reached No. The track was ranked No. 29 on the U.K. Singles Chart within its first week of it's release. In a May interview with HitQuarters Lucas Secon, the producer-songwriter, confirmed that he and Rivers Cuomo had just worked on the single.
