Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since 11 November 1996. Her feature film debut was a tiny part on The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later, she portrayed Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was approached by a photographer and began to take on the role of model. Then she began an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody was very cautious about doing the glamorous work or doing nude. This rule extended into her acting career. When she was dragged into the sights of the director who cast an upcoming James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody appears within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 promising actors in 1986. 38. Doody was just 18 years old when she made her appearance in the Bond part. Today Doody is considered to be the youngest Bond girl. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she portrayed IRA Member Siobhan Donovan. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television adaptation from The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first leading role. It aired in 1988 alongside John Hurt, Dawn France and Jennifer Saunders. The first time she appeared was in the film Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian Nazi-sympathizer and archaeologist opposite Harrison Ford. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She went on as Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen and girlfriend in Major League II. She was selected as an alternative to Cybill Shepherd who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. Doody was absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, came back in 2003 for a minor role on the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine appeared as her as a character at the ceremony for awards. In 2004, Doody was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. Doody filmed a role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture. Later, she guest-starred in RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was scheduled to also play the lead role in a remake in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. The actress began her two seasons on The E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she starred as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. In November she was awarded the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award as well as a star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
